Sooooo, you couldn’t say that May 2014 has been the most productive month ever. That ugly monster Real Life reared its head and took a huge bite out of my time. I had some new training opportunities at my job and couldn’t pass it up. (and after 40 hours of bike training there is no sitting in front of a computer screen *wince*)
But now all that’s done and over with, and it’s back to the grindstone.
…and it’s a pretty big grindstone…
While, it’s true that this month has not been conducive to my actual writing, a few things have happened that, in the long run, I think will have lasting productive effects on my writing.
I’ve had a couple fantastic interviews with some outstanding authors and had the opportunity to read their works ahead of release dates. That in and of itself is cool! And through those interviews, I have learned about writing.

My TO DO LIST is constantly growing and my screen is covered with little digital post-it notes. My daily reminder that I wish I didn’t have a day job…
I’m still trying to finish up by crime/mystery Beast, and I just got the okay for my science fiction reimagining of a classic child’s story (mine won’t a fairy tale). I have also been in discussions with a fellow author to do some collaboration work on an epic science fiction saga (think Game of Thrones in space).
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, 2014 is shaping up to be a big year. This is a very exciting time to be a writer—and a reader for that matter!
My short story The Watch is now FREE at NoiseTrade.com and if you have $0.99 to spare hop on over to Amazon and buy it and leave a review! Indie Authors are nothing without reviews from their readers! Go grab it and give it a read!
Next week my interview with author Scott Moon will be live, along with a cover reveal for his upcoming release. I reviewed his first novel, Dragon Badge, last year and can’t wait for his newest work to release!
